I loved staying here because it's just a short walk to Bitts Park and only a bit further to the Cumbria's Museum of Military Life, making it easy to explore and enjoy some lovely green spaces during my stay as a single traveler.

The welcome was warm and friendly, making me feel valued right from the start. I requested a quiet room, which resulted in a lovely free upgrade to an en-suite double bedroom.

The Vallum House offers a warm atmosphere with attentive staff and delicious meals. the decor feels outdated, and the shower had some cleanliness issues, with black mould present. The location is a bit far from the city center, but overall, it’s a cozy and friendly spot.
